Coco Gauff had a great fun after a video of Zheng Qinwen nearly hitting her on a match point went viral as the American tennis joked she had to “move my butt out the way.”
Up by a set and leading 5-1 in the second set, Gauff earned her first match point on Zheng’s serve.
After making Gauff go wide with her serve, Zheng got the ball around her service line in the middle of the court when she decided to rip a forehand. But Zheng’s forehand was uncontrolled and it nearly hit Gauff, who was rushing toward the middle of the court. Fortunately for Gauff, her reflexes did its part as the 2023 US Open champion jumped in the air and managed to avoid getting hit by Zheng’s ball.
If you can dodge a tennis ball, you’re into the semifinals 😂@CocoGauff slides her way into the semifinals after defeating Zheng 7-6(4), 6-1. She will face Swiatek for a spot in the final. #IBI24 pic.twitter.com/yEdB4gZHOz

“Had to move my (peach emoji – butt) out the way (laughing emoji),” Gauff captioned her Instagram Story.
