Coco Gauff has won her 15th consecutive match and she has beat Iga Swiatek’s previous record for the most consecutive wins on the WTA Tour in 2023, via OptaAce. On Thursday, No 3 seed Gauff defeated 16th-seeded Veronika Kudermetova 7-6 (5) 6-2 in the Beijing round-of-16.
Gauff, who won Cincinnati and the US Open in her last two tournaments played, is now three wins away from winning her third consecutive title. Earlier this year, Swiatek – the 2023 French Open champion – posted 14 consecutive wins before losing to Elina Svitolina in the Wimbledon quarterfinal.
