Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula qualified for the quarterfinals in the women’s doubles draw, at the Roland Garros 2023. The two US stars beat the doubles formed by the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and the Romanian Elena Ruse in three sets, with the final score by 6-7(4) 6-4 6-2.
Despite the victory, the two American tennis players were the protagonists of a fun moment on the court. During a rally, the two found themselves hitting the ball at the same time, crossing their rackets. After the match, Pegula joked on Twitter, reposting the video of the funny moment and writing: “This is honestly improvement from our usual communication skills!”
