Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week is now in full swing. Today, mid-afternoon in Paris, Maria Grazia Chiuri presented the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring 2025 collection. The show marked MGC’s 18th couture collection at the helm of the iconic French fashion house, since joining as creative director in 2016. Amid rampant rumors of her departure, the Italian designer invited guests, as per usual, to the Museé Rodin and into a show space with walls lined with artwork from artist Rithika Merchant. Models emerged backstage sporting feather Mohawks, panniers and crinolines, and voluminous outerwear – each boasting intricate embroideries. Maria Grazia Chiuri ultimately sought inspiration from the “Trapèze” line from 1958 and the “Cigale” silhouette of Monsieur Dior himself.
