Christian Dior Cruise 2025 Collection Review

After almost 70 years, the house of Christian Dior returned to Scotland last night for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Cruise 2025 collection. Following in the footsteps of Monsieur Dior who staged a fashion show in 1955 at the luxurious Gleneagles Hotel, the French fashion house’s current creative director staged her latest collection within the picturesque grounds of the historic Drummond Castle, situated in Perthshire. Archival photographs from the 1955 showcase were ultimately reproduced as prints on tops and coats throughout MGC’s latest lineup, while Scotland’s iconic Harris Tweed was unsurprisingly at the forefront of a number of looks. Maria Grazia Chiuri looked to Mary, Queen of Scots and her rebellious spirit for inspiration, resulting in puffball gowns crafted from rich black velvet and adorned with heavy embroidery detailing.
