Chris Evert sent support to Bianca Andreescu and wished the Canadian tennis star a speedy recovery after a “so unfortunate” Miami Open injury. During the second set of the Miami match against Ekaterina Alexandrova, Andreescu collapsed on the court while attempting to run the ball down.
In one of the most horrifying moments of the 2023 season, Andreescu started screaming in pain and she was heard yelling “I have never felt this kind of pain before.” Andreescu received treatment on the court before being assisted into a wheelchair and leaving the court in tears.
“This is so unfortunate. Bianca really getting her game back and playing so well. Wishing her a speedy recovery!” Evert tweeted.
