Chelsea versus Manchester United moved to Friday evening, avoids clash with Women’s FA Cup final

The Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge has been moved to Friday, May 16.

The game had originally been scheduled for Sunday, May 18 at 3pm (BST) but has been brought forward after being selected for television broadcast.

It means the match will avoid a clash with the Women’s FA Cup final, which will be contested between Chelsea and Manchester United at Wembley on the same day, with kick off at 1:30pm.

The Premier League fixture is part of the top flight’s penultimate match round and will be shown live on Sky Sports, kicking off at 8pm.

Chelsea and Manchester United drew 1-1 when they met at Old Trafford in November.

Chelsea secured their place in the Women’s FA Cup final with a win over Liverpool, while Manchester United beat Manchester City to ensure their third successive final appearance.

The Premier League announced a number of fixture amendments on Friday for gameweek 37. Liverpool’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion has been pushed back to Monday, May 19 after being picked for broadcast. Arne Slot’s side could already have been crowned Premier League champions by the time they visit the Amex Stadium.
