Arkansas head coach Jordyn Wieber announced Tuesday that Catelyn Branson has rejoined the staff as an assistant coach.
Branson spent the last three seasons as head coach at Lindenwood, which was recently discontinued along with several of the university’s other athletic programs. After leading the Lions to their seventh MIC title and fifth USAG national championship in their final season, Branson was named the 2024 MIC Coach of the Year and WCGA South Central Coach of the Year.
Prior to her tenure at Lindenwood, Branson served on Arkansas’ coaching staff from 2020 to 2021 and competed for the University of Nebraska from 2016 to 2019. She was a member of the 2018 Huskers team that qualified to the Super Six.
Arkansas is coming off its most successful season under Wieber. The Razorbacks qualified to the NCAA nationals championships, finishing seventh, as well as tallied a number of program records throughout the season, including the top four team totals and the top vault, beam, and floor marks.
In 2025, Arkansas will see a strong recruiting class, ranked No. 19 in the country, arrive in Fayetteville, one that includes Olympic team contender and four-star recruit Jocelyn Roberson, as well as four-star Grace Drexler and three-star Ja’Leigh Lang.
