Carson Beck, whether he stayed at Georgia for another season or went onto the NFL in this year’s draft as originally intended, was always going to receive some sort of criticism. After all, the former Bulldogs quarterback didn’t have his best season, tying for an SEC-worst 12 interceptions last year. But transferring to Miami, historically one of the most polarizing teams in college football, wasn’t going to do him any favors.
Then you add on the reported $4 million NIL, along with his TikTok famous, Hurricanes women’s basketball girlfriend, and you have a concoction more dangerous than any South Beach bartender could offer.
But according to those inside the Miami program, the viral image of Beck doesn’t reflect the person teammates and coaches are getting to know behind closed doors.
