Caroline Garcia says she and coach Bertrand Perret have put their past issues behind them and are focused on making again strong results. Just before the start of the 2022 Wta Finals, Garcia and Perret shockingly split. When the news of Garcia and Perret split became public, many were stunned considering how well the Frenchwoman was doing in the second part of the 2022 season.
However, there were reports at the time indicating that there was a falling-out between the two. After struggling with her game in early 2023, Garcia decided to reunite with coach Perret.

“Why we split up, why we come back (together), it’s part of the past.
It’s a good chemistry between the two of us and he understands very well my aggressive game style. He’s open-minded to make me train inside the court or to make me return in that position. It’s paying off. Now we are just focused on the present and what can we do and what can we improve for the future,” Garcia said.
