Canada’s Olympic roster brings versatility, but with several glaring omissions – Equalizer Soccer

Date:

On Tuesday, Canada unveiled the 18 player Olympic roster and the four alternates that will travel to France to defend their women’s soccer Olympic gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Canada will take on New Zealand on July 25, hosts France on July 28 and will round out Group A with a match against Colombia on July 31. The red and white will play Australia in a pre-tournament match on July 13 in Spain.

The 18 players that head coach Bev Priestman has called on bring versatility, depth, speed, offensive and defensive ability, tournament experience and match fitness concerns.
