For weeks, a veil of mystery has hovered around Camila Giorgi, who, after having officially announced her retirement from tennis at the ITIA in May without media communication, had disappeared in recent months, following accusations of tax evasion and false anti-covid vaccinations. In recent weeks, however, the former Italian tennis player came back to posting content on social media.
In an interview, given to the Italian newspaper Corriere del Veneto and also reported by Eurosport, her lawyer has made new statements, explaining where the Italian was before and where she is now.
“Camila Giorgi is in Rome. In recent months she has traveled for work. In short, she has not run away at all as some have insinuated,” said lawyer Edmondo Tomaselli, who thus explained the latest movements of the former winner of the WTA 1000 in Montreal.
