Season two of the best rivalry in basketball kicks off on Saturday.
The Indiana Fever play host to the Chicago Sky at 3 p.m. ET on the opening weekend of the WNBA season, and it’s must-see TV. Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, now in their second year as professionals, will meet for the fifth time. They sparked one of the most famous rivalries in the sport as college players at Iowa and LSU, respectively.
Last year’s Fever-Sky matchups did not disappoint, with Indiana claiming the season series 3-1. While the Fever reached the playoffs in Clark’s rookie season, the Sky missed the postseason in 2024. Chicago will be looking for revenge against its Midwest foe in 2025.
Both teams made some changes to their rosters in the offseason to try and help their young stars develop even more. The Fever and the Sky also have new coaches, with Stephanie White taking over in Indiana and Tyler Marsh now the leader in Chicago.
Clark and Reese will face off in primetime on ABC, and it’s sure to be an electric atmosphere in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
