Virginia Tech’s Georgia Amoore set the record for most 3-pointers made in a women’s NCAA Tournament on Friday in the Hokies’ Final Four matchup against LSU.
In the game right after, and to no one’s surprise, Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark tied the record. The Hawkeyes guard sank five from downtown against South Carolina, matching Amoore with 24 for the tournament.

Clark tied the record with 7:30 left in the fourth quarter — from the logo, of course.

The Hawkeyes used this heat from Clark to boost themselves over the reigning national champions 77-73, ripping the Gamecocks’ perfect season to shreds in Dallas.

Clark finished with 41 points, six rebounds and eight assists, becoming the first player in women’s tournament history with back-to-back 40-point games. She had 41 in a historic triple-double against Louisville in the Elite Eight.
She came into the game shooting 39.2 percent from beyond the arc; she was at 29.4 percent (5 for 17)…
