Caitlin Clark State Farm commercial: Inside the March Madness ad featuring Lisa Leslie

When State Farm approached Lisa Leslie to be the narrator for the “Covering Greatness” commercial, the women’s basketball legend was in from the start. 

Leslie is the narrator for the ad which features Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark and will air during Friday’s NCAA tournament action. Leslie, a two-time WNBA champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist, considered it an honor to be the voice behind the montage.

“I just feel very proud as a former player to be able to support these women that are playing now,” Leslie told Sporting News. “When I read the script, I was wondering whether they wanted it to be kind of soft or is it powerful, but when I saw the video it gives you chills because not only do you get to understand the magnitude of what Caitlin has been able to do, but also how the community has really impacted her.”

The State Farm ad “Covering Greatness” is set to “Unstoppable” by Sia, and it shows the highlight-reel plays that have Clark a women’s basketball legend. The 6-foot guard leads the nation with 31.9 points per game and 8.9 assists per game.
