WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark and the rebuilt Indiana Fever have endured a bumpy start to their 2024 season. They will try to reset and start fresh against the 2-0 Connecticut Sun on Monday.
As the Coldplay tune goes, “Nobody said it would be easy.” The most decorated college basketball star of all time has learned first-hand that the pros are a much different animal than the NCAA.
Clark had 10 turnovers in her WNBA debut and single-digit points in her second game. She did have a good game last time out against the mighty Liberty, but Indiana ultimately lost its third straight game out of the gate.

At 0-3, the Fever sit in the basement of the W, averaging the fewest points per game in the league (71.3) and ranking dead last in rebounds (29.3) and third-to-last in assists (17).
However, Clark fans don’t need to turn in their No. 22 jerseys or bar themselves from CC props quite yet. The No. 1 pick’s performance versus New York proved that she’s feeling much more comfortable now that the smoke has cleared from her highly-anticipated WNBA debut.
Clark put up a line of 22 points, eight assists, and six boards in the 91-80 loss to the Liberty, who have reigning MVP Breanna Stewart and make the shortlist for most pundit’s WNBA…
