After Iowa’s 74-66 win over Georgia in the second round of the women’s NCAA Tournament, star guard Caitlin Clark was asked by ESPN’s M.A. Voepel if she had ever met WNBA superstar Sue Bird.
“No, and I want to so bad!” Clark replied.
She got her wish on Sunday.

Clark and her Iowa teammates received a surprise when Bird showed up at their shootaround ahead of an Elite Eight matchup with Louisville.
