Caitlin Clark is rewriting the history books during her rookie season in the WNBA.

After breaking the NCAA’s all-time scoring record during her four-year college career at Iowa, Clark is breaking records with her playmaking at the pro level. Not only is she on pace to lead the league in assists per game as a rookie, Clark also shattered the WNBA’s single-season assists record during Friday’s game against the Aces.

How did Caitlin Clark pass Courtney Vandersloot, Alyssa Thomas on all-time assists list?

Clark entered Friday’s game three assists shy of surpassing Courtney Vandersloot and five assists away from breaking Alyssa Thomas’ all-time single-season record.

This season, Clark is averaging 8.4 assists per game. She needed less than one half of play against the Aces to break the record, and she finished the game with nine.
