Established running shoe brand Brooks is launching an innovative sustainable running shoe.
The Brooks Green Silence Ghost 15 marks an important milestone as the brand works towards Net Zero carbon emissions by 2040.

The new design features dope dyed textiles, a sustainable fabric dying technique. It also features the most recycled material by weight than any other shoe in the Brooks product line.
These shoes are testament of Brooks’ Climate Pledge. Its mission is to move closer to incorporating at least 50% recycled or bio-based content in all materials used in its products by 2030.
So far, these efforts have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 5%. Compared to the inline Brooks Ghost 15, which is equivalent to 6.5 plastic bottles.
Sustainable techniques
This season, all of Brooks’ footwear styles will feature dope dyed materials in the sockliner top cloth.
“Dope dyeing has a substantially lower environmental impact than traditional dyeing processes. It cuts down water use by 94%, reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 92% and uses 99% less energy,” explains David Kemp, Corporate Responsibility Director at Brooks Running.
