Brazilian defender Bruninha extends with Gotham FC through 2025 – Equalizer Soccer

NJ/NY Gotham FC announced on Thursday that Brazilian star Bruninha will remain with the club through 2025. The defender signed with Gotham in August 2022 through 2023 following a transfer from Santos FC of the Brazilian first division league Brasileirão Feminino Neoenergia.

Bruninha has excelled for both club and country since signing for Gotham. She has been a stalwart defender for Gotham this season appearing in 16 games and earning 14 starts across all competitions. In May, Bruninha became the youngest player in club history to score in National Women’s Soccer League competition at the age of 20. Her growing list of accolades includes NWSL Bud Light Player of the Week for Week 9, NWSL Save of the Week for Week 10 (shared with Gotham FC goalkeeper Abby Smith), and NWSL Best XI for the month of May.
