The Big Sky Conference Tournament has been rebranded as “Starch Madness,” only adding to the excitement surrounding this year’s competition.

Returning to Idaho Central Arena in Boise for the sixth consecutive time, the tournament features Montana State, the reigning champion for three straight years. As the No. 5 seed, the Bobcats will look to defy the odds and secure the league’s sole NCAA Tournament berth. 

Held at a neutral site, the tournament structure rewards the top two seeds with a favorable path—facing a lower-seeded opponent in their opening game before enjoying a rest day. Meanwhile, teams seeded No. 3 through No. 6 also receive a first-round bye.
