UConn won the past three Big East women’s basketball tournaments and will look to make it four consecutive titles in 2024.
The Huskies locked down the No. 1 seed once more after another impressive season under head coach Geno Auriemma. They aren’t the only school to secure their place in the tournament, though. Creighton will be the No. 2 seed, while St. John’s is the No. 3 seed.
The Bluejays fell in the semifinals in 2023 to eventual runner-up Villanova, while St. John’s lost in the semifinals to Marquette a year ago.
This conference tournament will feature a few of women’s basketball big names – and not all of them are on UConn.
Villanova’s Lucy Olsen (23.0 points per game), Creighton’s Emma Ronsiek (17.9 ppg) and Lauren Jenson (17.3 ppg), Marquette’s Liza Karlen (17.9 ppg) and St. John’s Unique Drake (18.0) can all light up the scoreboard.
But the Huskies’ duo of Paige Bueckers (20.8 ppg) and Aaliyah Edwards (18.1 ppg and 9.5 rpg) could dominate games and the headlines at the tournament.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Big East women’s tournament, including the bracket schedule, scores and results.
