Bianca Andreescu expressed her gratitude to those who reached out following a horrifying injury in Miami and revealed that she is still waiting on the official results of the severity of her leg injury. Last night in Miami, Andreescu collapsed on the court while attempting to run the ball down during her round-of-16 match against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Andreescu immediately started screaming in pain as she was heard yelling “not again” and “this is the worst pain I have ever felt.” The medical team rushed to help Andreescu, who a few minutes later was assisted into a wheelchair.
“Woke up with a brace on my foot, anyone know what happened? On a serious note though, that was the worst pain I’ve ever felt… praying for nothing serious. Still waiting on official results. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and kind words, doesn’t go unnoticed,” Andreescu tweeted.
