Bianca Andreescu is back on the practice court and that’s another sign that she is making very positive progress in her recovery from a scary leg injury. A week ago, Andreescu hit the gym and started doing some light work on the treadmill.
Now, Andreescu is back on the practice court.

What happened to Andreescu?
During her Miami Open round-of-16 match against Ekaterina Alexandrova, Andreescu crushed on the court and yelled that it was “the worst pain” she had ever felt.
Andreescu was assisted into a wheelchair before exiting the court in tears. The scenes from the Andreescu and Alexandrova match were one of the most terrifying of the 2023 season. Two days later, Andreescu revealed the scans determined that she tore two ankle ligaments.
In her message, Andreescu didn’t provide a clear timetable for her return. “Results show that I’ve torn 2 ligaments in my left ankle. It’s tough to say exactly how long it will take, but let’s just say it could’ve been much worse!!
