Originally a member of Destiny’s Child, Beyonce has become one of the most accomplished artists of all time. After becoming the first Black female artist to win Album of the Year at the Grammys since Lauryn Hill in 1999, Beyonce is ready to celebrate with her fans.
Beyonce announced the “Cowboy Carter” tour, titled after her latest album. Several stops on her tour, May 22, 24, 25, and 28, will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just outside the NYC area.
The “Single Ladies,” “Halo,” “Run the World,” “Formation,” “CUFF IT,” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” singer has won multiple awards, including 35 Grammys. Album of the Year was the only award missing from her collection until now.
The win was extra special, considering that “Cowboy Carter” was nominated for and also won Country Album of the Year, making up for the fact that Beyonce, entering the genre, was shut out from the CMAA Award nominations.
