Berrettini risks fainting against Murray

What a fear for Matteo Berrettini, in the first round of the Miami Open.

During the match for access to the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 in Florida between the Italian and Andy Murray, the high temperatures and persistent humidity of the city claimed another victim. In the final part of the second set, the Italian tennis player began to faint but managed to remain standing thanks to the help of his racket.

The Chair umpire Aurélie Tourte immediately left her seat to join Berrettini, who obviously required the intervention of the doctor and the physiotherapist.

Matteo sat on the bench, holding his hands to his temples and closing his eyes to relax more for a few minutes.

After having his blood pressure measured, Berrettini decided to return to playing regularly. Between the end of the second and the beginning of the third set he also took the opportunity to spend some time in the locker room.
