Bee invasion at Indian Wells triggers panic in the Alcaraz vs Zverev’s match

What happened in the Indian Wells quarterfinals match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, a match temporarily suspended due to an invasion of bees, is not a science fiction film but reality.

Yes, you read that correctly! Bee invasion! What happened on Stadium 1 of the BNP Paribas Open during the third quarter-final of the day between the young Spaniard and the German was sensational. While Carlitos was preparing to serve with the score 1-1, 15-0, a veritable invasion of bees broke out on the main court of the ATP Masters 1000 in Indian Wells.

Alcaraz tried to dodge some of them, but the situation soon degenerated, forcing the two players to leave the field and forcing the chair umpire to suspend the match.
The writing that appeared on television to justify the temporary suspension will remain in history: “Bee invasion.”

Alcaraz and Zverev then went to the locker room waiting for the match to resume. The bees literally stormed the spidercam, forced into a quick retreat.
