As the International Swimming League enters the final stretch of the regular season, six of the top 10 money earners in the league are female, with Beata Nelson of the Cali Condors holding the top spot according to SwimSwam.
Nelson’s teammate, Kelsi Dahlia, follows her in second.
In match seven, Nelson was the top money earner with $14,600 earned between individual, relay and skins events. She also earned $8,000 in bonus money to bring her weekend total to a league-leading $23,400.
Through match eight, Nelson has earned $64,150 with her individual event wins making up the bulk of her season earnings. In total, she has earned 67 points – a little less than 20 points ahead of Lilly King who has earned the second-most points this season with 57.5.
Dahlia sits in a close second with a total of $58,050 earned. The bulk of her season earnings has come through the skins events.
Sarah Sjostrom – who made a surprise return to the ISL for the final two weeks of the regular season after leaving to do rehab following the first two weeks of the season – sits in fourth to make three of the top five money earners women.
