Barack Obama has released his own NCAA Tournament brackets every year since making a promise in 2009. It has become a key tradition in basketball culture.
On Wednesday, the former president unveiled his 2023 picks for both the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments. You can find both brackets on the Obama Foundation website.

The former president picked Duke to take home the men’s trophy this year. If he’s right, it would be the first time in history a 5-seed has won the NCAA Tournament.

Obama is certainly familiar with the Blue Devils. He was in attendance for Duke vs. North Carolina at Cameron Indoor Stadium in 2019, a game the Tar Heels won 88-72. It was also the game in which freshman sensation Zion Williamson suffered a bizarre injury after his shoe fell apart in the opening minutes.
