Romanian WTA player Andreea Prisacariu expressed her admiration and gratitude for Novak Djokovic after the Serbian grabbed the 23rd Grand Slam of his career, becoming the man with the most Grand Slams in the history of tennis.
“Ok, so here I go… Novak Djokovic is the greatest of all time. Now numbers confirm it, true. But he was the best long before all these numbers even mattered. Anyway, as I always do, I will express my admiration for this superhero.
Because once again, he showed everyone that he is made of steel. I am so happy for him and from day to day he keeps teaching me lessons that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know I have a say in it.
“Create.” So yes, I will let go of my past and all the mistakes that ate me alive during my career. I live in the present, as the king said I should do. I am eternally grateful for having the chance to be alive in the same era as Novak.
I really have no clue if I will win any Grand Slam, or if I will even enter top 100… or if I will even matter in this sport in the future… but what I do know is that I will keep working and believing until the end of time no matter what.
