Avram Glazer is planning to attend Wembley for a third time this year by taking his seat in the directors’ box for the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Manchester United’s co-owner flew by private jet at a cost of £250,000 per trip for the Carabao Cup final in February and the women’s FA Cup final last month, and he is expected to travel the same way for the showpiece event against Manchester City.
Glazer was booed by United fans during the game against Newcastle, which United won 2-0 to secure their first trophy since 2017, with several supporters raising banners against the American owners.
Takeover talks for the club are continuing, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe remaining confident of success despite a fourth bid by Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar.
The Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle was the first time co-owner Avram had attended a United game since their opening-day Premier League defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on August 7.
His appearance at Wembley was also the first time one of the Glazers had attended a United match since they announced they were exploring a full or partial sale in November.
