And it was a momentous occasion too, as British wheelchair tennis star Alfie Hewett won his 10th major singles title.
Norwich’s finest (I am contractually obliged to include this, possibly) beat Japan’s Tokito Oda in today’s singles final 6-4, 6-4.
Only yesterday, Hewett and his doubles partner Gordon Reid won their sixth consecutive men’s doubles.
Hewett now has a second Australian Open singles title, and a total haul of 32 major titles.
