We saw her yesterday playing along her countrywoman Casey Dellacqua in the Wimbledon doubles legend against Andrea Pektovic and Magdalena Rybarikova: for all the fans it was a joy to see Ashleigh Barty back on the court, two years after her retirement. The former WTA No.1 talked at the press conference about many interesting topics. The Australian has started an experience as a commentator for BBC and she talked about the feelings she felt from this new experience.
“I hope people at home enjoy what I have to say. I don’t know if I’m right or wrong a lot of the time, but I still enjoy it. It’s been really fun working with the BBC. I’ve worked with some of the best in our game in that sense. I’ve learned a lot and I’ve really enjoyed watching tennis live again. You have a good view and you’re able to absorb what’s happening on the court,” she said.
Barty also talked about her countryman Alex De Minaur, who withdrew from the quarter-final of The Championships match against Novak Djokovic. De Minaur was injured on match point in the 4th round against Arthur Fils.
