Sometimes they come back! Ashleigh Barty returned to the All England Club, to play the legends doubles at Wimbledon, two years after retiring from tennis. The former WTA No.1 Australian champion had decided to retire at just 25 years old to devote herself to her private life, her family and her hobbies, but it was incredibly emotional for all of us to see her back in the press room of the London Major. A moment that fans had been waiting for a long time.
The 3-time Slam champion played the legends doubles together with countrywoman Casey Dellacqua, winning with the score of 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 over Andrea Pektovic and Magdalena Rybarikova.

In the post-match interview, the media in the press room talked to Ash about many topics and, of course, a question about a possible comeback couldn’t be missed. The Australian answered in a very funny way, looking for a synonym for the word: No!
“Does anyone have a thesaurus for a word I can use for no? No. You asked someone else. You’re killing me. I don’t know how much longer,” she said.
