As USWNT beckons, one last shot at UWCL glory for Emma Hayes at Chelsea – Equalizer Soccer

We’ve seen a fair share of drama in the UEFA Women’s Champions League so far with Arsenal and Wolfsburg being knocked out in the qualifying rounds by Paris FC and a dramatic showdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United for a place in the group stages. So with all this in mind, we are finally set to begin the season with match Day 1 of the group stages. While there’s excitement about the usual favorites in Barcelona, Olympique Lyon, and, Bayern Munich, the biggest focus will be on Chelsea.

Last week, long-serving manager Emma Hayes announced she will be stepping away from the club after 12 years in charge to pursue another opportunity. Hayes has been with Chelsea since 2012 and is the most successful manager in the Women’s Super League, having won four consecutive titles with the Blues.
