The co-hosts of the Sports Gossip Show podcast, Madeline Hill and Charlotte Wilder, attended the 2025 Miss Maine pageant to check out the 24-year-old girlfriend of sports legend Bill Belichick — but ended up saving most of their critique skills for the coach’s security guard, Chad.
The women said on the Sunday, May 11 episode of their show that Chad, whose last name is unknown, was so obvious about his boss’ whereabouts throughout the weekend that they dubbed him “Mr. Magoo,” after the famously lumbering cartoon character. Belichick is currently navigating media backlash, due to some incidents surrounding his relationship with his much-younger girlfriend, including an April 30 CBS interview she interrupted.
“It’s truly like Mr. Magoo,” Wilder said. “The whole thing was kind of a movie…He was like the son who can’t really figure out how to do anything.”
The critique started after the podcasters overheard Chad announce that Belichick was on his way to the Portland Holiday Inn, where the Miss Maine pageant took place May 10 and 11.
