Aryna Sabalenka has joined those who have expressed their displeasure with the facilities at the 2023 edition of the WTA Finals, particularly the training grounds. The tournament will be played at the Plaza Quintana Roo in Cancun, Mexico, from October 29 to November 5.
Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka arrived in Cancun, and the number 1 in the WTA ranking expressed her opinion regarding the state of the facilities. Sabalenka’s coach, Anton Dubrov, revealed that there were only two courts available to the players until the day before the start of the tournament.
“2 practice fields until Saturday 1 stringer on site,” he posted on his Instagram story. Aryna Sabalenka reshared Dubrov’s post and shared her disbelief at the conditions.
