Aryna Sabalenka took a moment to send a classy message to Iga Swiatek, congratulating the Pole on “impressive stuff” and her fourth French Open title.
On Saturday, 23-year-old Swiatek demolished Jasmine Paolini 6-2 6-1 to seal her fourth French Open title in her sixth attempt and also complete a three-peat. Now, Swiatek is already “just” four titles away from breaking Chris Evert’s all-time record of eight French Open titles.
Also, Swiatek now has five Grand Slam titles in her collection – something that is pretty impressive considering that she just turned 23 on May 31st.
Sabalenka, whose French Open run ended in the quarterfinal following a shock defeat to Mirra Andreeva, reacted on Sunday to Swiatek’s latest win at Roland Garros
“Wow @iga_swiatek impressive stuff. Congrats on another one,” Sabalenka wrote on X.
