Aryna Sabalenka gets real on dealing with ‘negative people’

Aryna Sabalenka says she has realized that negative people tend to be “the loudest” and that ignoring them is probably the best possible way of dealing with such people. 

Sabalenka, who turned 26 in early May, is widely regarded as one of the best players in women’s tennis. But it is not only Sabalenka’s tennis that is drawing attention as many consider the 26-year-old Belarusian a very charismatic player with an entertaining personality. 

While Sabalenka has a good reputation and is one of the fan favorites on the WTA Tour, even she has a group of people that don’t like her very much. 

“I think it all comes with experience. Usually I would say negative people are the loudest ones, and I just try to ignore them,” Sabalenka explained.

“I understand that it’s impossible make the whole world love you. It’s absolutely fine. I’m absolutely okay if someone doesn’t like me. It’s okay.

“I know that I have more people who support me than haters. I’m trying to shift my focus on positive thinking,”
