Aryna Sabalenka has achieved a new incredible record on the courts of the Australian Open. The Belarusian, beating her friend Paula Badosa, has got her third consecutive final in Melbourne (who is playing right now against Madison Keys).
A result achieved in the past by only seven players. The world number one is also the fifth to reach five consecutive Grand Slam finals on hard courts. She is joined by Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles and Martina Hingis.
But that’s not all. The WTA No.1 is the third player in the last 10 years to win more than 20 consecutive matches in a women’s singles Major after Serena Williams (US Open and Wimbledon) and Iga Swiatek (Roland Garros).
