Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar has reshuffled his department with Jason Ayto appointed assistant sporting director and James Ellis promoted to head of recruitment.
The Athletic previously reported that Ayto and Ellis were both set for role changes at the club.
They will support Edu in their new remits, working across the men’s and women’s teams as well as the academy.
Ellis joined the club in the summer of 2021 from Fulham.
He was originally known as the club’s first-team scout in the UK but has now been given greater responsibility.
Ayto began scouting for the club in 2014, and has since gone on to serve as the club’s recruitment co-ordinator — effectively, Edu’s right-hand man.
His role as assistant sporting director will also broaden his responsibilities.
Arsenal, who suffered a blow in the title race after losing to Manchester City in midweek, are next in action against Chelsea at the Emirates on May 2.
