The inaugural Unrivaled season is coming to an end as the 3-on-3 basketball league is in its first iteration of the playoffs, but one of the league’s stars won’t be playing in the semifinals.
The Laces are set to face off against the Rose in the first semifinal game. The winner will go on to meet either the Vinyl or the Lunar Owls in the championship. The Rose have benefitted from a solid roster including Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Cooper, Angel Reese and Lexie Hull. Reese is likely the most well-known name there, as she was among the most popular women’s college basketball players when she was at LSU.
Reese has played 14 games this season and was named Unrivaled’s Defensive Player of the Year this season thanks to her 12.1 rebounds, 0.6 blocks and 0.7 steals per game. Unfortunately, an injury she suffered in the final game of the regular season as a rookie will keep her from the semifinals.
