After yet another win for undefeated No. 3 LSU women’s basketball — the Tigers’ 21st in a row to start the season — Angel Reese did not want to hear any criticism of coach Kim Mulkey.
“I love Kim Mulkey,” Reese wrote Tuesday morning. “If you have a problem with that, BLOCK ME. PERIOD.”
The sophomore forward has unlocked her potential in her first season playing for Mulkey. Since transferring from Maryland in the offseason, Reese has posted a double-double in every game for LSU.
Her 21st consecutive double-double came in Monday’s 76-68 win against SEC rival Tennessee (16-8). Reese had just four points and four rebounds at halftime, but she finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds thanks to a second-half surge.
When Reese discussed her decision to transfer to LSU with Just Women’s Sports, she cited Mulkey as a deciding factor.
