Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese continued the stellar start to WNBA career on Sunday afternoon by recording her 10th consecutive double-double, the longest single-season streak in league history.
Reese tallied her 10th point when she sank a free throw with 23 seconds to play in the Sky’s 70-62 loss to the Minnesota Lynx. In doing so, she moved past Candace Parker, who had recorded nine consecutive double-doubles during the 2015 season.

“Just proud of her. Proud of what she does,” Chicago coach Teresa Weatherspoon said. “She’s gonna continue to do what she does. That’s who she is. She’s gonna always come out and play hard and confident and give you everything that she has.”
Reese’s standout performance (10 points and 16 rebounds) was the latest in what has been an opening two months full of history. Earlier in June, she became the first rookie since A’ja Wilson in 2018 to record 25-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in a game.
