The Chicago Sky are just 3-5 through eight games and haven’t won a game in nearly a week, but they’re in the midst of one of the most eventful stretches of any professional sports team at the moment.
A day after polarizing rookie Angel Reese was ejected late in Chicago’s loss to the Liberty, some members of the Sky reported they were harassed outside the team hotel in Washington D.C. ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the winless Mystics.
“My teammate being harassed at our hotel is insane! Couldn’t even step off the bus!!!” Isabelle Harrison tweeted on Wednesday, expressing her gratitude that security stepped in.
WOW!!! Thank GOD for security. My teammate being harassed at our hotel is insane! Couldn’t even step off the bus!!!

While the Sky have been the subject of some criticism from fans over the past handful of days following Chennedy Carter’s hard hit on Caitlin Clark, it was initially unclear whether the harassment came from fans. Reese was the first to say a player had a camera shoved in her face, and the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Carter was the player targeted by a lone man.
NOH: Why reaction to Angel Reese’s viral WNBA comments is unfair
