Angel Reese took to Twitter following undefeated LSU’s 79-76 victory over Arkansas on Thursday to explain a technical foul she was assessed with five minutes left in the third quarter.
Razorbacks guard Samara Spencer drove to the hoop, where Reese was waiting. The Tigers sophomore held her shoe in one hand, as it had fallen off earlier in the possession, but she still managed to block Spencer’s shot attempt with her other hand.
As the ball soared out of bounds, Reese stood over Spencer and said something to the guard, which earned her a technical.
But Reese, who finished with 30 points and 19 rebounds, has no plans to change. Instead, she wants to change the game — and the way it’s officiated.
“If it was a boy y’all wouldn’t be saying nun at all,” her tweet read. “Let’s normalize women showing passion for the game instead of it being ’embarrassing.’”
