The interim tag has officially been removed from head coach Becki Tweed’s title, Angel City announced Thursday morning. Following the announcement, Tweed, Angel City co-founder and President Julie Urhman, General Manager Angela Hucles, and captain and defender Ali Riley spoke to the media about her hiring and the future of the club.

“We share one thing in common and that is we want to create a dynasty on the field and we want to leave a legacy off the field,” said captain Ali Riley. “I’m so confident that these three (Angela Hucles, Julie Urhman, and Becki Tweed)  and especially Becki as a coach, share that vision. It’s November and it’s been a long and emotional year but I can say that I am so excited for preseason and that is a testament to how I view Becki as our new old head coach.”
