Andy Roddick unloads at Elena Rybakina’s ‘selfish’ coach Stefano Vukov

Andy Roddick thinks Stefano Vukov definitely played a role in the Elena Rybakina and Goran Ivanisevic partnership coming to an end after a very short time. 

After ending her five-year partnership with the 37-year-old in August, the Kazakh hired Novak Djokovic’s former long-time coach in November. 

But just a few days into the 2025 season, the world No. 7 stunned the entire tennis world by announcing the return of Vukov. 

Almost instantly reports started to drop that Ivanisevic was left blindsided by the decision and there were strong indications that he would leave Rybakina after the Australian Open.

And exactly that happened. 

Since then, it was also revealed that there was an investigation into Vukov’s behavior and that he was banned from coaching on the Tour.

This week, the WTA confirmed that the investigation concluded and that his ban was upheld. 

According to a report from The Athletic, it was determined that he verbally abused the Kazakh – there are indications that they are in a romantic relationship – and it was also said that the 37-year-old received a one-year ban.
