Andy Roddick hits back at Coco Gauff’s critics with very reasonable take

Andy Roddick is having a positive perspective on Coco Gauff’s current situation as he thinks the 20-year-old has improved a lot over the last year and has no doubt that the 2023 US Open champion will eventually resolve her serving woes.

Over the last couple of months, there has been a lot of talk about the issues the American tennis star has been dealing with on her serve. 

On Saturday, Gauff hit a stunning 21 double faults in a three-set Wuhan semifinal loss to Aryna Sabalenka. For the top-ranked American female tennis player, it was her career-high number in that category and also the record for the most double faults recorded by a player on the WTA Tour in 2024. 

“I think the rest of her (Coco’s) game has become so much better than even it was a year ago that she will self-correct this at some point, I have full faith. I think she is committed to it, she is a hard worker,” Roddick said on the Served With Andy Roddick.
