Andy Roddick called Emma Raducanu “a superstar” and suggested the key for the 2021 US Open champion is to be surrounded by people who know how to make the right moves. Raducanu, 20, hasn’t won any titles since her stunning 2021 US Open win as since then she has been often struggling with injuries and setbacks.
Raducanu ended her 2022 season a bit prematurely to address her wrist injury but the same injury reappeared again in 2023. After struggling with her wrist in a Miami Open first-round loss, Raducanu was also forced to withdraw from the Madrid Open.
Raducanu has played just five tournaments so far in 2023 and she is set to exit the top-100 for the first time since entering it in 2021 September.

“The thing about these injuries is there’s seems to be a lot of stop and start, there hasn’t been an injury that’s kept her out let’s say two or three months at a time.
A week here, a week there but never actually taking away a big chunk of time so hopefully that’s still the case and we’re not dealing with something more serious. I hope she’s getting the right advice on how to go about the program.
